About Us

CLR works with federally recognized Tribes in the Tribal process of mapping, describing, analyzing, and preserving ceremonial landscapes as identified by the Tribe(s), in accordance with the National Register of Historic Places standards.

CLR also promotes ceremonial landscape preservation. Our commitment to promoting preservation is consistent with USET (United South and Eastern Tribes) resolution 2009:057, which resolves to support partnerships “with individual landholders, agencies, towns, counties, and states that have stewardship of these properties, in order to create historic preservation initiatives which will support the permanent protection of such sacred landscapes.”
